Standard Chartered Cup 2017 Clinched by Grameenphone

The defending champion Grameenphone Ltd won the Standard Chartered Cup 2017 after clinching a 1-0 win over LankaBangla Finance Ltd in the final at the Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium on March 3. Earlier in the semifinals, Grameenphone Ltd beat Unilever Bangladesh Ltd 1-0 while LankaBangla Finance Ltd beat IDLC 3-1. The tournament was hosted exclusively for the bank's Corporate Institutional Banking and Commercial Banking clients. Twelve teams participated in the daylong event and the winners will travel to Liverpool, UK to watch Liverpool FC play against Southampton FC at the famous Anfield stadium.
